Scots Pine Tree (Pinus Sylvestris) 3L Pot 30cm
Pine Needle Tea
Our Scots Pine, the only pine native to Britain, This is an evergreen coniferous tree growing up to 25m in height and 1m trunk diameter when mature. The shoots are light orange-brown, with a spirally arranged scale-like pattern. On mature trees twisted needles are a glaucous blue-green, often darker green to dark yellow-green in winter. Brown cones 5cm in length appear in autumn. The Scots pine will happily tolerate almost any type of poor soil, therefore making it useful in land reclamation projects. It will need at minimum 6 hours of full sun each day and since it grows to be very large will need plenty of space to grow. It also has a good tolerance for clay soils and requires very little care once established.
