Native Wild Meadow Seed Bombs x10

£6.99

Our homemade wildflower seed bombs are hand rolled by us here at our nursery! We select our seeds, use our own clay and compost to make sure our bombs are as locally sourced and hefty as possible!

Large wildflower meadows of UK native species are the best thing for supporting insects and animals yet are sadly in great decline as our population grows and more green space is covered in concrete. With our seed bombs you can do your bit in urban areas or at home. Pollinators can’t travel too far to find food so it’s really important that there are food sources and refuges dotted around for them to visit, you can create your very own or employ little helpers throw them around on your travels and see what happens!

For best results simply throw them into a loose soil area (or pot) in your garden, push them in, give them a water- Let nature do the rest! If you prefer a more guerrilla approach to gardening then you can also just throw them wherever you fancy and let them do their thing. As long as they can get wet and mulch into soil, they should be fine!

20+ types of seeds are represented in each bomb to give your garden a truly varied appeal. Flowering annually in turn throughout six months of the year, the wild flowers are important to the environment. Furthermore, the wild flowers are an essential food source and habitat for many species of animals and pollinating insects such as honey bees, butterflies and moths. This is a comprehensive mixture suitable for a wide range of soil types.

The wildflowers are pure and colourful garden plants, ideal for giving surroundings such as road verges, roundabouts, golf courses and cottage gardens a natural look. They will require a little fertiliser and only low maintenance is recommended after sowing down. This meadow flower mixture includes annuals and perennials which give colour for the first year.

Includes: Paper Daisy, Pheasant Eye, Pot Marigold, Cornflower ,Dwarf Morning Glory, Evening Primrose, Forget-Me-Not, California Poppy, Baby's Breath, Love-in-a-Mist, Corn Poppy. Golden Tickseed, Blue Lupin, Borage, Purple Tansy, Blanket flower, Clarkia, Cosmos Mixed, Marsh Mallow, Clovers to name a few!
